Ms. Bahar Tekin, Chairperson of the United Nations Association of Turkey Youth Section and Ms. Evrim Başkaraağaç, Deputy Member for Projects of the UNA of Turkey Youth Section, attended the Euro-Arab Youth Sustainability Leadership Forum (E-AYF) between 1st and 6th of May, 2012, in Alexandria, Egypt.

European and Arab young people face common challenges about sustainable development, but have very different ways of understanding and viewing it, especially in regards to environmental, economic and social sectors. Young people in the Euro-Arab region promote and contribute to the transition of sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace. Thus, in the forum these points were touched upon.

The forum, which had a motto of "Moving Beyond Just Tolerance", had many participants from the Europe, the Middle East and the Northern Africa.
